Suffolk used the Touchplan planning platform to build a new two-story, 106,000-square-foot facility. The facility includes an expanded emergency department, increasing in size from 4,400 square feet to 7,340 square feet. The building site is in the shadow of the current 1957 hospital, which remained operational during construction. The facility also includes private treatment rooms, a “racetrack” layout, observation rooms that convert for the care of behavioral health patients, and a room for OB/GYN service.
